The Digitalization and Development Department's (DUA) focus is to drive the development of the Swedish Migration Agency's processes and capabilities through innovation and digitalization. Through coordinated process management and business development, both with and without IT components, we work to increase efficiency and quality in the Swedish Migration Agency's operations. For the Information Governance Unit within the Strategy and Information Governance section, we are now looking for a unit manager responsible for the agency's overall information governance. The assignment includes, among other things, strategic governance, standards, principles and monitoring, management of information lifecycle, contacts with the National Archives of Sweden on strategic matters, and development of agency-wide regulations. Primary Duties You will have personnel, budget, operational, and work environment responsibility for a unit with 10–15 employees whom you lead and develop toward set goals. As a unit manager, you are responsible for leading and developing the unit's operations with a focus on goal achievement, good work environment, and continuous development. As a leader, you create a developmental and positive work climate where employees have the conditions to develop in their roles and carry out their assignments to the best of their ability. You recognize and strengthen employees' drive through participation and engagement. An important part of your assignment is to create structure and direction in complex matters and translate strategic goals into practical governance. You lead an operation with specialist competence and need to be able to create good conditions for collaboration between different areas of expertise and parts of the agency. You report to the section manager and are part of the section's management group. In management group work, you actively contribute to the development of the section's overall operations and are expected to have a holistic perspective that extends beyond your own unit's area of responsibility. We are Looking for Someone Who: is a strategic and development-oriented leader has very strong analytical and conceptual ability can create structure and clarity in complex matters has high integrity and good judgment builds trusting relationships and leads through collaboration communicates clearly and pedagogically has the ability to translate strategic goals into practical governance and monitoring. You Should Have: an academic degree of at least 180 credits in archive and information science, systems science, informatics, law, political science, or other education that the employer deems equivalent management experience with personnel, operational, and budget responsibility good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English. It is Advantageous If You Have: documented experience leading strategic development and change work multi-year experience from public administration experience leading operations with specialist competence experience with information governance experience with business architecture or information architecture experience developing agency-wide governance, principles, and regulations experience leading cross-functional development matters where multiple business areas collaborate experience with collaboration between operations, law, information security, and IT experience with agency-wide change management experience working with standards that govern the information area.
