Description Within the home care service's area of operations, significant and comprehensive development work has taken place over recent years to create a more modern and attractive home care service, resulting in positive developments in both finances and operations. We now want to expand our happy team with a new colleague! The home care service currently consists of 14 home care units, a night unit, alarm and service, a service unit, shared care, a welfare technology unit and inspiration center, as well as an administrative staff. As a unit manager, you are part of the operations management team. Job Responsibilities As a unit manager in home care, you are responsible for ensuring that the services provided are of good quality, maintaining a balanced budget, and providing a good work environment. You have operational responsibility for activities, finances, personnel, and work environment. Your task is to drive, develop, and follow up on operations based on established goals and in accordance with applicable legislation as well as the municipality's goals, policies, and governance documents. You lead and allocate work for your team members and ensure adequate staffing. You are responsible for strengthening and motivating your employees and identifying needs for skills development, changed working methods, and procedures. Through communicative and trust-based leadership, you create conditions for employees to be engaged, take responsibility, and experience job satisfaction. Together with your team, you shall implement approved services and work to ensure that our care recipients receive the highest quality care. Qualifications We are looking for someone with academic education in the social field or other equivalent education/experience that we deem relevant to the position. You have experience working as a manager, and if you have worked in similar operations, this is a merit. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and your leadership qualities, which means that you exercise your leadership in line with the administration's and operations' core values. Furthermore, you are a driven and creative person who works with perseverance to achieve goals and results. Work in home care is varied and requires a good ability to prioritize and structure. Since our workplaces are distributed throughout the municipality, you need to have a valid driver's license for this position.
