JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for you to join us in developing the future of care and elderly services in Sävsjö municipality, with a focus on home care services. More people are growing older and the need for daily support is increasing. The new social services act emphasizes the importance of preventive measures and a clear focus on the citizens' perspective. We are looking for you to help shape the future of elderly care with engagement, quality, and care.
Through collaboration internally in the administration and externally with other care providers, you will drive and develop home care services to ensure good care and support for individuals.
As a unit manager, you have personnel, financial, and operational responsibility for your area. You have a holistic perspective and responsibility for developing routines, methods, and forms of collaboration so that the area's mission is fulfilled. An important part of your role as unit manager is also to work with employees to implement the individual's care plan. You will work with positive and engaged colleagues and well-functioning home care teams who are passionate about providing the best care and support. The position is based in Sävsjö where you will work close to colleagues and employees.
You report to the Operations Manager in the organization. We offer you the opportunity to work in an operation with the advantages of a small municipality where decision-making paths are short.
You will join the management group for elderly care and health and medical services, which consists of nine unit managers. The group is characterized by great forward momentum, good collaboration, and lots of laughter.
The position involves working in a trust-based organization characterized by confidence, high flexibility, and great responsibility. You will participate in various networks with other municipalities that create opportunities to build connections and serve as a knowledge-enhancing and development forum.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you to have a degree in social work or other relevant university education. Management experience in the public sector is a merit, and we would like to see that you have completed leadership training. Your leadership is based on trust and forward momentum. We see that you have good organizational skills and experience in driving development and change initiatives. As a leader, you are creative, think outside the box, and are a problem-solver. You bring new ideas for more efficient working methods and solutions.
In your role as unit manager, you take responsibility and show interest in your tasks. You take own initiative and familiarize yourself with your workplace's goals. We see that you adapt to changes and varying work tasks. You change your working methods and approach without losing sight of the goal.
A class B driver's license is required, as well as good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
Employment type: Permanent employment.
Duration: Start date: October 1, 2026 or by agreement.
Working hours: Daytime.
