Ref: 20261871 Do you want to be part of building a completely new operation and help combat welfare fraud? We are now looking for an engaged unit manager who wants to be involved from the start and shape an operation with an important public mission. Here you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues and employees to develop work methods, create structures, and build an operation that makes a real difference. Work Tasks As a unit manager, you lead the operation and are the manager for two sections. You have overall responsibility for developing, driving, and coordinating the department's work against welfare fraud. In this role, you create direction and conditions for structured and long-term work to prevent and combat incorrect payments, benefit fraud, and fraudulent schemes. You are the department's cohesive function and "spider in the web" when it comes to work against welfare fraud. This includes coordinating training, communication, and work management, as well as supporting the department's various operations in developing effective work methods and controls. You ensure that knowledge and experience are shared and put into practice to reduce the risk of welfare fraud. An important part of the assignment is to build and develop strategic collaborations and networks at the municipal, regional, and national level. You collaborate with other authorities and organizations to strengthen the joint public efforts against welfare fraud, for example with the Police, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan), and Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SKR). Through collaboration, environmental monitoring, and development of new work methods, you contribute to the department being at the forefront of work against welfare fraud. The position is placed directly under the department manager, to whom you report, and you are part of the department's management group together with seven colleagues. The department works with social services and qualified investigative work, with a focus on creating conditions for individuals to achieve sustainable housing and independent living. The assignment is simultaneously organization-wide and means you work for the entire department in preventing and combating welfare fraud. Qualifications We are looking for you who have: A degree in Social Work or other university education that the employer deems equivalent Experience working as a manager or leader within social services or other public administration Ability to communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing It is advantageous if you have: Experience working against benefit fraud and welfare crimes Experience in case management in digital systems and good understanding of development work of digital systems within social services Experience collaborating with external parties such as Region Skåne, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and the Police You are a secure and balanced leader who creates structure, clarity, and trust in your leadership. You are thorough, goal-oriented, and systematic and have the ability to maintain focus on both the assignment and the operation's goals. You are also courageous and dare to take a stand, make decisions, and act when the situation requires it. As a manager, you are present and attentive and have the ability to provide your employees with the right support, clear conditions, and direction, while creating space for participation and personal responsibility. You are communicative and pedagogical and have an ease in adapting your communication to different audiences. You feel comfortable speaking in front of both small and large groups and express yourself well both verbally and in writing. You also have a good ability to make complex information clear and understandable. In this role, you need to be able to collaborate on several parallel platforms and build good relationships with different parties. You enjoy collaborating, see the bigger picture, and have the ability to hold multiple perspectives and contact points together simultaneously. About the Workplace The units within the IFO Investigation Adults division work with social services and qualified investigative work characterized by good conduct, well-founded decisions, and high legal security.
