Work for a good day. Every day. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Do you want to lead an operations-focused finance function where you contribute strategically to Växjö Municipality's future? We are now recruiting a unit manager who wants to combine sound financial management with business acumen and the courage to make a difference. As unit manager for the controller unit, you will lead the unit and contribute to the development of the municipality's financial and operational management. You will be responsible for coordinating and further developing controller support at an overarching level, with a focus on creating conditions for operations-focused and value-creating support to Växjö Municipal Group's departments and companies. The role involves a combination of strategic development work and leadership, where you drive the development of working methods, conduct analysis and decision-making support, and contribute to a more data-driven approach. You lead a competent and engaged controller group of approximately 15 employees where collaboration, development, and quality are in focus. The group works closely with operations and has the task of supporting departments and companies in translating analysis into operations-focused decisions. There is a good collaborative climate here and a clear commitment to developing and improving working methods together. The position is located in the Finance Department within the Municipal Management Administration. You will work with budgeting at an overarching level and as unit manager you will have an important role in the management group under the leadership of the municipal group's Finance and CFO. QUALIFICATIONS The position requires a university degree in finance, or alternatively another university degree that the employer deems relevant. You have several years of experience in both operations-focused financial support and qualified financial management in larger organizations. In the role of unit manager, you need to have the ability to combine structure and analysis with an operations-focused and solution-oriented approach. You are competent in the field of financial management, but equally important is your ability to understand the context, see opportunities, and contribute perspectives that develop the business. You work in a structured and analytical manner, making thoughtful prioritizations that create value for those we serve. You have the ability to translate information into concrete decisions that create value over time. We would like to see that you have previously worked as a manager or leader, with experience in change management and development work. To succeed in the role, you need to build trust through clear and attentive collaboration with others. You are a confident leader who advocates for trust and engagement. We use tests as part of the selection process. Candidates who are assessed to the greatest extent to meet the requirements for the position will have tests sent by email.
