Your New Job
As a manager in the Social Services Department, your leadership is permeated by the municipality's core values and employee philosophy. You practice health-promoting leadership based on trust, knowledge, and learning. You create conditions for employees to succeed in their tasks with citizens' best interests in focus.
You practice close leadership by being available in daily operations to support, strengthen, and provide appreciation and feedback to employees. Together with citizens and employees, you are responsible for leading, analyzing, enabling, implementing, and following up on the operation's quality and results. You have personnel, work environment, budget, and operational responsibility and work closely with your two manager colleagues at Stattutgatan elderly housing. Together with other manager colleagues, you are part of the elderly care area's management group, led by the area manager.
In your work, you receive support from various support functions within the department, such as staffing controllers, HR, and Finance.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a relevant bachelor's or master's degree of at least 180 credits in, for example, social work, healthcare, or similar.
You also need strong knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing and be comfortable working in digital systems.
In addition to having a strong interest in elderly care issues, you need to be structured, stable, and clear. The work also requires you to be relationship-building and good at collaboration.
Merits
Experience working in a management position is advantageous. It is also advantageous if you have experience working in elderly care/healthcare and have worked in municipal operations or other politically governed organizations.

Welcome to Us
Elderly care is part of the Social Services Department at Jönköping Municipality and is tasked with meeting the individual needs of elderly people for care, support, and security in accordance with the operation's goals, guidelines, and prevailing conditions. There are five different elderly care areas, each consisting of a number of elderly housing facilities. We are now seeking a unit manager for Stattutgatan elderly housing, which is located in Dalvik, Jönköping. The elderly housing has 70 apartments, approximately 70 employees, and three unit managers.
Good to Know
The recruitment concerns a permanent full-time position with a start date by agreement.
Selection work begins when the application period has ended. Interviews are planned for August 25, 26, and 31. Assessment tools will be used.
