Together with your team, you create engagement, achieve results, and drive development. Welcome to the Emergency Department (AVA) in Ystad. Here we have four care beds and care duration is between one and three days. We care for patients who need acute interventions before they can move to a care ward or return home. At AVA there is also a short-term unit for patients who need targeted interventions before they can leave the hospital, which is an exciting concept found around the world. The goal is increasingly satisfied patients, more efficient care, better flow at the emergency department, and more available care beds in the hospital's departments. We work across all specialties, although most patients need our internal medicine expertise. We have close and good collaboration with our colleagues at the emergency department and continuously learn from each other. Together we work to make the acute flow even smoother, with the patient as the big winner. As unit manager of AVA, you are driven and interested in developing both staff and operations. Your closest colleagues are the emergency department's unit managers and you work together to enable a stable and secure work environment for employees. DUTIES You are responsible for the daily operations of all employees in the emergency department. At the same time, you motivate and inspire the unit's employees with your driving and present leadership. In your role, you have a holistic perspective and a long-term view of operations. You plan, organize, and communicate visions, values, and strategies to staff. You have access to an HR specialist, economist, operations developer, and communicator as support in your management role. As a manager leading employees, you direct your operations toward the organization's goals. Your employees' engagement is crucial to success in your task, and you value coaching, giving feedback, evaluating performance, promoting collaboration, and creating a good work environment. Together with your team, you develop operations through efficient working methods with high quality and continuously follow up for learning and further development. You have employer and management responsibility that includes staff, operations, and finances. As unit manager of AVA, you work closely with the emergency department's unit managers and medical responsible physicians at the units. Together we can improve, change, and strengthen emergency care at Lasarettet Hospital in Ystad. You belong to the acute and medicine operations area and will collaborate with several other unit managers with the goal of considering the entire hospital and its needs. Good Swedish language skills are required. We would like to see that you have documented management experience with operational, employee, and financial responsibility or other supervisory position within healthcare. Experience from emergency care is meritorious.
