About the Operations Forensic Psychiatry Care Stockholm (RPV) provides specialized psychiatric care for individuals with serious mental illness who have been convicted of crimes. With approximately 550 employees distributed across two sections, Huddinge and Upplands Väsby, we are Sweden's largest forensic psychiatric clinic. Our mission is to provide safe, secure, and evidence-based care to individuals who have been committed to forensic psychiatric care by court order. In total, the operations have 218 inpatient beds and two outpatient units that together serve approximately 600 patients. With us, patient participation and the opportunity for development are central parts of care. A meaningful daily life and opportunities for activity and participation are important components in the patient's recovery and rehabilitation. Your New Workplace North Section is located at Löwenströmska Hospital in Upplands Väsby and consists of seven inpatient care units with a total of 110 care beds in security class 3 as well as an integrated outpatient clinic. We are in an exciting phase of transformation. A comprehensive renovation of the section is underway and we are creating modern psychiatric facilities that provide new conditions for a safe and functional care environment. This also creates opportunities to develop our working methods and operations. Your Assignment As unit manager for the activity department, you will have a broad and varied management role with a central function in the section. Activity Center is a central part of the section-wide work in providing forensic psychiatric patients with an active and meaningful daily life, where activity is a natural part of care and treatment based on each patient's individual needs and as preparation for discharge. You are responsible for organizing the staff team to lead activity groups and collaborate with the section's occupational therapists to develop and coordinate work with activities. The assignment includes identifying needs, developing working methods, and creating good conditions for employees and patients to contribute to the development of the operations. The assignment also includes managing the section's janitorial services, with responsibility for logistics and facility maintenance among other things. This gives you a varied role with many contact points and an important role in the section's daily operations. You will lead a team of eight employees with various professional backgrounds and are responsible for the unit's assignment, finances, work environment, environment, and safety in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines as well as within decided resource frames. You will participate in the section's management work and work closely with the section manager and other unit managers. Requirement Profile: experience of working within psychiatric or forensic psychiatric operations previous experience of management or leadership roles with personnel responsibility. It is a merit if you have experience with activity-based operations, operations development, change work, or work in complex healthcare operations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Employment The position is a permanent appointment in the base position with a three-year assignment as unit manager. Some adjustment of the assignment period may be applied. For patient-facing work within the Stockholm Region healthcare area: - background checks are applied before employment decision in accordance with SLSO's comprehensive instructions for background checks at employment. - employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination, in accordance with current directives, which takes place through occupational health before employment. - in addition to Swedish professional credentials, good knowledge of Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
