Popis:

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individualized compulsory care for young people and adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also manages secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse issues throughout the country. Working at SiS means your professional life becomes an exciting challenge. Regardless of where you work in our organization or what position you hold, you help create vital change. SiS LVM-home Östfora in Järlåsa northwest of Uppsala serves men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse, combined with mental health issues. We have specialized expertise in medical care and are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs. Job Description SiS is undergoing extensive transformation with development happening on multiple levels simultaneously. We develop and adapt our work based on new and changing needs in both society and our own operations. We know that developmental and engaged managers are essential for meeting today's and tomorrow's challenges. As a unit manager, you lead, plan, follow up on, and refine the work on the unit to ensure you meet established goals. As a unit manager, you hold overall treatment responsibility for clients at the unit. You ensure that common working methods and practices are used and followed, and you support staff in their work. You ensure that staff have the competence for the care and treatment the unit provides and the conditions to carry out their duties in a good and safe working environment. As a unit manager, you have operational, personnel, and budget responsibility for the unit's staff. To create stable and efficient unit management, your unit has, in addition to you, a group leader and a treatment secretary. The group leader's primary task is to plan, coordinate, and operationally lead and distribute daily work on the unit, and to support the unit's staff in their work. The treatment secretary is responsible for coordinating and planning care and treatment for clients at the unit. Together you form a team that leads the work in close collaboration. You are part of the institution's management group where you, along with the institution manager and your management colleagues, take joint responsibility for all operations. Qualifications We are looking for someone with: An academic degree of at least 180 credits with a focus on social sciences, healthcare, or behavioral science, or another relevant academic degree. Several years of experience working in operations focused on care, treatment, and security, such as social services, healthcare and treatment, correctional services, or other relevant operations. Documented current experience in a management role. Class B driver's license and access to a car, as travel may be part of the work. It is an advantage if you have: Experience as a manager with operational responsibility, budget responsibility, and personnel responsibility within SiS. Previous experience as a manager in operations focused on substance abuse and dependency. Occupational health and safety training and experience with management readiness in equivalent operations. Since operations are often event-driven, you need to be comfortable making decisions, reprioritizing, and quickly changing both pace and direction. You remain calm and professional even in demanding situations and have the ability to adapt to changed circumstances. At the same time, you must have a comprehensive perspective and be able to work in a structured and systematic way to ensure care quality in line with the agency's goals, guidelines, values, and applicable laws. You know how to prioritize and find it easy to set goals and follow up on results. To succeed in this role, we see that you take responsibility for the whole and realize SiS's vision and goals. You create conditions for good results and take on challenges and act with courage when needed. You are a good role model and show trust in your colleagues' and co-workers' competence and encourage them to develop and take personal responsibility. You involve your staff in our development work and create conditions for active employee engagement and a learning organization. You promote good collaboration within SiS and with other partners. You are communicative and create dialogue, involvement, and engagement. At SiS, we value good leadership. This means that as a manager and leader, you take responsibility for the whole, act as a good role model, drive development, promote good collaboration, and are clear in your communication.
