The Social Services Department is divided into five areas: Home Care, Care and Housing Facilities, Health and Medical Care, Individual and Family Services, and Services for Persons with Disabilities. In Karlskoga Municipality, there are five care and housing facilities: Björkliden, Lötängen, Saxlyckan, Villa Strå, Skrantahöjden Viljabo, and Gammelro. Short-term care is available at Treklövern, and respite care at Saxlyckan. The goal is to provide quality care and support around the clock, based on security and person-centered approaches. This ensures that residents live a good life according to their own circumstances. All care and housing facilities offer various types of activities, such as walks, reading aloud, films, singing and music, baking, study circles, outings, celebrations, pub evenings, classic car meets, crayfish parties, and more. The care and housing facility has responsible managers/manager(s), nursing assistants, care workers, nurses, occupational therapist, and operations support staff. The management structure consists of an operations manager, unit managers, and assistant unit managers. There is also an operations developer and an activities coordinator for the area. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are strengthening the management team at Saxlyckan Care and Housing Facility. We are looking for a managerial colleague who is experienced in working as part of a team and has a strong interest in collaboration, with a trust-based and coaching leadership approach. As a unit manager at a care and housing facility, you work together with your staff to provide quality care and support to our residents, with a focus on excellence. You plan and follow up on work and are responsible for achieving results in line with political intentions. The position involves personnel, financial, operations, and work environment responsibilities. You supervise a number of nursing assistants and care workers, as well as operations support staff in daily operations. The position reports to the operations manager. As unit manager, you will be one of three unit managers at Saxlyckan. You are part of the area's management group. Rotation to another care facility may be considered in the future. Your leadership should be based on respect for self-determination and integrity, and we will strive to ensure that residents live a meaningful life with a high degree of independence and opportunities for outdoor activities. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • a higher education degree in an area relevant to the position. • documented experience working in facilities that include short-term care, respite care, relief services, and care and housing facilities. • good IT skills. Meritorious: • experience in a management position within care and services that involved responsibility for personnel, work environment, operations, and finances. The position requires you to be well-organized and able to independently plan and organize your work. Your analytical skills are strong, and you express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You should be confident in yourself and your leadership. You are a strong team player who easily builds good relationships, has excellent decision-making abilities, and gets things done. You are driven by a desire to develop and make your operations function based on a clear focus on quality, collaboration, and individual needs. It is important that you can balance responsibility for operations, personnel, work environment, and finances with precision and professionalism. Employment form: Permanent employment.
