The Healthcare and Social Services Administration is seeking a unit manager for the special housing facility Solbacken in Strömsund.
Solbacken is a residential facility with 35 special housing places distributed across three departments. The facility also has a department with five short-term places/respite care.
The manager is responsible for care staff, approximately 40-50 employees distributed across day and night shifts.
The municipality is responsible for elderly care in the form of home services and special housing throughout the municipality and is divided into four areas. These are Strömsund town center, Hammerdal, Frostviken, and the area stretching from Tåsjödalen to Backe/Rossön.

DUTIES
We offer a meaningful management role where you get to influence the future of elderly care. Close collaboration with the area's administrative support and the facility's workplace coordinator, as well as with other unit managers, stakeholders, and management. It is an independent and developmental role in an organization characterized by commitment, responsibility, and competence.
The Healthcare and Social Services Administration is undergoing transformation where digitalization is an important tool for developing our operations. We use digital solutions to create new ways of working that promote participation and independence for our residents.
The unit manager role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously as the role encompasses many different areas of responsibility.
You are responsible for:
• Services according to the Social Services Act based on assistance decisions and quality requirements
• Quality and development work at organizational, group, and individual levels
• Financial responsibility
• To some extent for facility matters and immediate environment where operations are conducted
• Personnel and staffing
• Lead and support employees in daily work
• Work environment
QUALIFICATIONS
You have appropriate higher education that the employer deems relevant for the role, equivalent education, or equivalent acquired knowledge in the field. Previous experience as a manager and work in a politically governed organization are merits.
