The Social Services Department in Piteå Municipality is the municipality's largest department with approximately 1,700 employees. The Social Services Department consists of seven divisions that, with the user at the center, investigate, decide, coordinate, and implement the measures that are granted. Responsibilities Working as a Unit Manager involves leading, planning, and coordinating operations with the user at the center. The work is carried out in collaboration with care staff and the Health and Medical Care organization. An overarching principle for the Social Services is trust-based leadership. The mission is to provide high-quality services to those living in SÄBO and to promote a healthy workplace. Operations are shaped by legislation, regulations, the social committee's activity plan, and procedures. As a Unit Manager, you have overall responsibility which includes operations, housing, families, finances, and personnel responsibility for care staff. At the 9 largest SÄBO facilities, we currently have shared leadership, which means two Unit Managers with a mutual division of responsibilities based on personnel or housing responsibilities. All SÄBO facilities have, in varying percentages based on size, their own Administrator. As a Unit Manager, you will be part of the SÄBO management group consisting of 19 Unit Managers, Team Leaders, and the Division Manager. The management group meets at least once per week. Qualifications You should have appropriate higher education and/or other experience that the employer considers equivalent. Experience in a leadership position and experience in care and support work are merits. You should be flexible, responsible, have a strong ethical and moral compass, and be able to work both independently and as part of a group. Great emphasis will be placed on personal competencies. A valid driver's license and access to a car are required. More About the Position The employment is Unit Manager SÄBO with placement at Ängsgården. Permanent employment, full-time (100%).
