The Social Services Department's Individual and Family Care (IFO) is organized into four units: the child and family unit, the adult unit, the outpatient care unit, and the employment and integration unit. The Employment and Integration Unit handles employment and integration issues and has a high project focus in the services we offer. Collaboration with external actors and support for people far from the labor market is part of our daily work. The Social Services Department in Krokom consists of 600 employees with a broad range of responsibilities. The department is divided into five operational areas and is present throughout the municipality. We are responsible for providing care and support, assistance and services, as well as health and medical care to municipal residents who need it, at all stages of life. A day as a unit manager for employment and integration As a unit manager, you are responsible for leading, developing, and monitoring the employment and integration operations. You have operational, personnel, work environment, and budget responsibility and work with engaged employees to provide high-quality services. We are in a transition process where you play an important role in driving and developing the work together with your team and IFO toward the new activity requirements reform and the new Social Services Act intentions. As the manager for employment and integration, you have personnel responsibility for approximately 20 employees working on varying assignments. The unit includes employment consultants, work supervisors, integration coordinators, project managers, coordinators, and administrators. These are based at three different work locations. Part of the work involves participating in project applications, staffing projects, leading steering committees, and participating in regional networks. You work closely with other operations within IFO and also collaborate with the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, the business community, and civil society. The assignment and operations are changeable and offer opportunities for innovation. You report directly to the operations manager and are part of the management group with other unit managers and the development secretary. You are expected to actively contribute to the strategic development of the entire operational area. Your competence Requirements for the position: Relevant university degree, for example social worker, behavioral scientist, or other education that the employer considers equivalent Experience working on employment issues and/or integration Experience with leadership including personnel, budget, and operational responsibility and experience working in a politically governed operation Meritorious qualities and experiences include: Experience working on a project basis Experience in change and development work To succeed in this role, we believe it is important that you are a confident and clear leader who creates engagement and trust.
