About the Position
We are now seeking a unit manager for the Land and Environmental Law unit. The unit consists of experienced lawyers who primarily work with advisory services, support, and development for Svenska kraftnät's investment and expansion projects. The main areas of work are land and environmental law as well as application of relevant parts of the Electricity Act. The unit consists of lawyers who work independently, and the manager's task is to support and create conditions for employees and our deliverables. The authority is characterized by high pace of change with new assignments and rapidly growing operations. To fulfill the unit's mission, the manager together with the employees needs to challenge established practices and explore new possibilities.
The Legal Department consists of five units: investment law, land and environmental law, operations law, system law, and registry and archives, as well as a number of positions reporting directly to the department head. The Legal Department is led by the chief legal officer who reports directly to the director general. Unit managers report to the head of the Legal Department. The Land and Environmental Law unit has just over 10 employees, about half of whom are based in Gothenburg.

Education:
You must have a Swedish law degree or equivalent (jur.kand. examen).
You also have:
At least five years of professional experience and at least three years in a management role overseeing experts in relevant areas.
At least three years of experience working in an organization undergoing major change.
At least three years of experience working in public sector operations.
Strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
Meritorious Qualifications
Experience managing remote teams.
Experience in the energy sector.
Experience with permitting under Chapter 2 of the Electricity Act and work with land and environmental law.
Experience conducting dialogue with other authorities and stakeholders in relevant areas.
Good to Know
The position is located in Sundbyberg.
Business travel occurs regularly - the unit has employees in Sundbyberg and Gothenburg and you are expected to visit them regularly.
Possibility of remote work up to 50%, when work permits.
