The residence has three places and targets children and youth with extensive support needs. It is a small operation in scope – but a significant and qualified assignment. Here, good leadership is about more than structure, staffing, and planning. It is about creating the best possible conditions for each child to feel safe, be listened to, be included, and live as independent and fulfilling a life as possible. Your assignment includes, among other things: • lead, develop, and follow up on the operation • have personnel, work environment, financial, and operational responsibility • ensure quality, legal certainty, and compliance with current legislation • create clear goals, structure, and good conditions for employees • develop working methods and practices based on children's needs • work for an operation characterized by participation, safety, and continuity • collaborate with guardians, nurses, and other internal and external stakeholders. You work closely with the unit manager for the short-term operation. Together you drive common issues and create continuity and wholeness for the children, while you have clear individual responsibility and authority for the children's home. We believe in independent managers, but not in isolated managers. As a unit manager with us, you become part of an experienced and engaged management team where we collaborate closely, challenge each other, share experiences, and help each other when issues are complex. You also have access to several professional support functions, including operational developers, method developers, support educators, and coordinators, as well as other specialist functions within the organization. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or another relevant university education that the employer deems equivalent. You also need to have the experience and personal suitability required to manage a residence with special services for children and youth according to LSS. For us, it is not just what you have done previously that matters, but also how you lead and how you want to develop as a manager. We are looking for a confident and clear leader who can set direction, make decisions, and create structure but who is at the same time responsive, unpretentious, and has the ability to bring people along. You build trust through presence, clarity, and respect. You see your employees' competence, create participation, and encourage responsibility. When situations become complex, you can maintain the overall perspective, prioritize, and make decisions.
