The Automation and Digitalization unit is a newly established unit within the Soft Infrastructure business area and drives some of the city's most exciting digital development initiatives. The unit will have 19 employees + consultants. You will be part of the management group for the Soft Infrastructure business area and report to the business manager.
The unit delivers, manages and further develops services and solutions such as digital signing, secure communication between authorities, integration, process automation, BPMS and RPA. The unit plays a key role in Gothenburg's digitalization journey and is in the midst of strong growth with many new, developing assignments. Our digital infrastructure spans from national platforms to innovative custom-developed services – all with the goal of creating a smarter and more sustainable Gothenburg.
As a manager, you will lead an area at the forefront, where ideas quickly become reality and make a clear difference. Here you will meet complex challenges that require innovative thinking, collaboration and courage – and where the results are felt in people's everyday lives.
As a unit manager, your assignment will include:
Responsibility for overall management and prioritization of deliveries and development initiatives.
Capturing needs and then coordinating and ensuring correct resource allocation.
Developing the service offering together with service strategists, management leaders and product owners.
Ensuring efficient collaboration within the management group and with other unit managers within the business area.
Driving continuous improvement of working methods, processes and quality.
As a unit manager, you have personnel and workplace responsibility and are responsible for competency supply in the unit. You also have financial responsibility and work with budget, forecasting and follow-up. Implementation and improvement of relevant processes is part of your work.
About you
We are looking for someone who has a relevant higher education degree and a background in IT, where service delivery, development and support have been natural components of your work. You have several years of management experience, preferably in a management role, and are used to driving change work. You are confident in understanding the organization's needs and translating them into practical and value-creating solutions.
It is meritious if you have experience of:
Leading and driving the unit to work in a team-based and agile manner.
Working in large and complex organizations
Working with automation and integration platforms
As a leader, you are attentive, clear and confident in your communication. You coach and inspire your employees and create conditions for delivering results together that provide real benefit and impact. You operate in an environment with many contact points and collaborations, which requires you to build trusting relationships and drive dialogue at different levels. Engagement and participation are a natural part of your leadership and you are driven by helping others grow.
