We are now seeking a unit manager within the Children and Family Authority. Here we work to create security and good living conditions for children, young people and families with legally secure authority exercise, collaboration and the best interests of the child at the center. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS Do you want to help shape the future of social services and lead an important mission with the best interests of the child in focus? We are looking for a confident, experienced and development-oriented unit manager for the Children and Family Authority. With us you will have a central role in the administration's transformation work, where we develop the organization, working methods and collaboration to meet the needs of residents through a more preventive, accessible and knowledge-based social service. As a unit manager you work closely with team leaders and social workers and are responsible for authority exercise within children and family. You lead and distribute work within the unit, create conditions for legally secure case management and contribute to good quality. The assignment includes: • lead, support and develop the unit's employees in daily work • be responsible for operations, finance, personnel and working environment • follow up, evaluate and develop the unit's work with focus on quality and legal certainty • drive change and improvement work in line with social services' transformation • develop collaboration with internal and external actors • actively contribute to the Individual and Family Care management team together with other unit managers You should have experience in social services authority exercise, preferably within children and family. You are confident in leading others in a complex and socially important activity. You have a good understanding of what it means to work in a politically governed organization and can translate goals, legislation and operational needs into a clear direction in everyday life. As a leader you are clear, stable and present. You have the ability to create engagement, build trust and support employees in both everyday matters and more challenging situations. To succeed in the role, you need to enjoy change management and be able to maintain direction even when conditions change. You have very good collaboration skills and see the value of working together across organizational boundaries. You can see how different parts are connected and contribute to the whole. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as a confident and engaged leader with a good ability to create structure, participation and results. We see that you have: • Social Work degree or other relevant university education • You have broad experience in authority exercise within the social services field, with a managerial position • Good knowledge of current legislation (Social Services Act, Care of Young People Act etc.) • Experience of change and development work • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written It is advantageous if you have: • Experience of work in a politically governed organization • Leadership training As a person you are clear, communicative and relationship-building. You are stable in your leadership, have a good ability to make decisions and are solution-oriented. You enjoy working both strategically and operatively and have a genuine commitment to children and young people's best interests.
