Region Östergötland's HR organization has approximately 100 employees who provide qualified support both operationally close and centrally. Many of our HR employees work with close support to managers in the region's operations. The organization also includes an HR strategy team, a unit with specialists in competence supply, a negotiations unit, and a unit for payroll administration. A central support and service unit provides daily support to employees and managers. Within the HR organization, there is also an education operations area. Areas of Responsibility The role of unit manager for HR managers is newly established. The assignment involves ensuring that the region's operations receive qualitative and equivalent HR support. The assignment includes further developing work methods and HR processes to create conditions for situation-adapted support to our operations. Development of operationally close HR work includes ensuring that operations are managed and led based on the region's personnel and employer policies and that laws and agreements are followed. The HR organization shall ensure that HR work is based on managers' needs and challenges, and that operations' needs are continuously captured so that they can be translated into the development of the region's HR work. In your role as unit manager for HR managers, you are responsible for, among other things, the following: You are the manager of 11 HR managers and are responsible for assignments, finances, and work environment. The assignment also includes coordinating and holding together/driving and following up on development issues. Lead overarching working groups/projects within our entire HR area. You work through your organization, and in your actions, you are a role model for others. You collaborate with managers within the operations to actively seek improvements in HR work. You are part of a management group together with the operations manager and unit managers for HR consultants, HR specialists, the negotiations unit, and payroll and pensions. The management group works to ensure that HR work development contributes to strategic shifts and organizational goals. Qualifications We are looking for you with education in HR or other academic education that the employer considers equivalent. You have many years of experience in qualified HR work and broad competence and experience from the entire HR field, as well as experience in strategic development and change work in a complex organization. We see that you have several years of experience as a manager and leader within HR. You have very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You are an experienced project manager and accustomed to working in different support systems. It is meritorious if you have experience from a politically governed organization, and we would like to see that you have an in-depth interest in labor law matters. To succeed in this role, it is important that you have personal maturity and that you are humble. We see that you have an unpretentious approach and the ability to collaborate with many different parties. You are a secure leader who can create engagement and participation. Your ability to listen and understand needs, combined with proactive action, is crucial.
