NU-sjukvården is part of Västra Götalandsregionen and is one of Sweden's larger regional hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborgs Länssjukhus) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area covers 280,000 residents. Together we are approximately 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. To meet future needs, we are now developing our HR function and seeking a confident, clear, and development-oriented unit manager who wants to be an important part of this transformation journey. This means we need to be prepared to develop and change how we work to provide the best and most appropriate support to our operational leaders. Together with the HR Director and other colleagues, you will play an important role in developing our approaches, strengthening collaboration, and continuing our evolution toward a proactive, professional, and operations-focused HR function. Your Assignment As unit manager for operations-focused HR, you will lead a group of highly qualified HR professionals and have overall responsibility for operations, finances, personnel, and work environment within the unit. You report directly to the HR Director and are part of the HR function's management group, where you contribute to the strategic development of HR work at NU-sjukvården. An important part of your assignment will be to translate our shared direction into practice and create conditions for HR support that is based on operational needs. You lead your team closely while having the ability to step back, see the bigger picture, and drive development together with others. In this role, you will have a particular focus on: Leading, developing, and creating good conditions for HR professionals to succeed in their assignments Developing and adapting our approaches based on operational needs and ensuring that managers receive professional, accessible, and value-creating HR support Creating clarity around roles, responsibilities, priorities, and shared ways of working within the HR function Strengthening collaboration between HR partners, specialists, strategists, and other support functions Promoting a proactive and preventive approach where HR is a natural and early partner in operational development Translating decisions and direction into action and following up on results, quality, and development of HR delivery The HR organization consists of approximately 25 employees with broad expertise in the HR field. We work both strategically and operationally and play a central role in supporting operations through change, development, and workforce planning. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone with an academic degree in HR, personnel or behavioral science, or equivalent education. You have several years of experience in qualified HR work, a good understanding of the breadth of the HR field, and experience leading development and change initiatives. Experience in management or other leadership roles is a merit, as is experience from larger complex organizations, the public sector, or healthcare. As a leader, you are confident, clear, and trustworthy. You create direction, make decisions, and build trusting relationships at different levels in the organization. You have an inclusive leadership style that creates engagement, participation, and good conditions for employees to succeed. The assignment involves further developing, together with the HR Director, a culture characterized by professionalism, collaboration, clarity, and shared responsibility. You combine strategic understanding with operational effectiveness, see operational needs, and translate decisions into results together with others. You view HR as a strategic partner to operations and contribute to ensuring that managers and operations have the best possible conditions to succeed.
