The Social Services and Support Administration works to create good living conditions for the municipality's residents. We are now seeking a unit manager for one of our three investigation teams within the children and youth sector.
The position is placed within the Joint Authority and Health and Medical Care department, which is responsible for authority operations within several business areas with a focus on legal security, quality, and development.
As a unit manager, you become an important part of the department and contribute together with other managers to the development of the business as well as good conditions for employees and residents. You have the support of a business coordinator in quality and operational matters as well as support from the administration's development department in development and change work.
The administration is in an exciting development phase with a focus on the transition to the new Social Services Act and the development of a more preventive, knowledge-based, and accessible social service. The needs of children and young people are at the center.

DUTIES
The investigation teams are responsible for investigation, assessment, and follow-up of interventions for children and young people according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act with Special Provisions on Care of Young People (LVU).
As a unit manager, you lead a group of qualified employees working with complex and often urgent matters.
You are responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted securely, professionally, and with the child's best interests in focus.
The assignment includes full operational, financial, personnel, and working environment responsibility (VEPA). You lead, support, and develop employees in their duties and ensure that the business reaches set goals regarding quality, efficiency, and working environment.
The role includes, among other things:
• Lead and develop operations based on legislation, political objectives, and the administration's governance.
• Create conditions for sustainable employment and trustworthy leadership.
• Ensure legally secure case handling and documentation in accordance with current legislation.
• Drive and follow up quality and development work within the business area.
• Responsible for the business's budget and resource planning.
• Cooperate with internal and external actors such as schools, health and medical care, police, region, and other cooperation partners.
• Contribute to the department's strategic development together with other managers.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Social Work or other university education that the employer deems equivalent
• Several years of experience in authority operations within the children and youth sector
• Good knowledge of current legislation, especially SoL, LVU, and other relevant social law legislation
• Good ability to express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish
• Experience in leading employees, projects, or operations or previous management assignments is advantageous.
