At Kungsholmen's purchasing unit, many of us work together to create security for the city's elderly. We follow up, develop, and support – both in authority functions and in preventive work. Here different competencies meet: social workers, health educators, nursing assistants, administrators, and several other roles. We have approximately 55 employees, of which 27 are social workers. Together, we ensure that over 1,800 Stockholm residents receive the support they need – and that even more can continue to live an independent life. We are now strengthening the unit with a new management colleague for authority functions following a reorganization in Stockholm City. The reorganization aims to develop and prioritize present and accessible leadership for all employees. We are now looking for you who want to lead in the new organization and in the transition to the new social services law. The unit is led by an area manager with two unit managers for authority functions and one unit manager for preventive work. Your Role As a unit manager for authority functions, you contribute to ensuring quality, manageability, and clarity for employees and to creating an attractive workplace. You promote a good working environment and create opportunities for employees to take responsibility, have influence, and feel involved. Together with the other unit manager, you have overall responsibility for personnel, financial, and operational matters for the unit. Your main areas of responsibility are to: Supervise daily operations Guide and support employees Make decisions in case matters and ensure lawful handling Participate in cooperation with internal and external parties Be involved in and drive various processes and projects within the operational area Work actively for a sustainable working environment with participation, alignment, and good community spirit. You report to the area manager and are part of the unit's management group, which consists of the area manager and unit manager colleagues. Together, you work for the best of the unit, department, authority, and city district. Your Competence and Experience We are looking for you who have: A degree in social work or another education that the employer deems equivalent Experience with authority functions in elderly care Current leadership experience in elderly care with responsibility for personnel and operations Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. It is meritorious if you have: Good knowledge of LSS legislation. We are looking for you who practices close leadership and is accessible and visible to employees.
