Do you want meaningful work that makes a difference in people's lives? Welcome to a municipality that goes beyond the ordinary! The Health and Care Administration's responsibility is to provide care, support, and assistance to elderly people and individuals with disabilities, as well as support to their families. Our goal is, with the citizen's focus, to create good conditions for an independent, stimulating, and secure living situation - around the clock. We are 2,500 employees who, in our various roles, provide support and care to the citizens who need it. Botkyrka Municipality is investing in home care services by strengthening management capacity and improving the work environment by reducing the number of employees per unit manager. This creates better conditions for close leadership, high quality, and safe and stable care for our service users. Do you want to develop home care services with us? Are you a present leader who wants to contribute to daily operations? We welcome your application! The administration is in a development phase with a focus on culture, quality, and leadership. More present leadership and a strengthened management layer are central parts of this work. Development areas include, among others, equity, collaboration, and adaptation to changing needs within elderly care. The Position and Your Responsibilities We are now seeking a unit manager for Orrens Home Care Services. Home care in the municipality consists of ten units: home care where service residences are one of them, night and alarm patrol. Each unit is led by a unit manager with personnel responsibility for approximately 35 employees. We are in an exciting development phase, including service options for citizens and development in welfare technology. You have overall responsibility for planning, implementation, and follow-up based on the established activity plan. Your responsibilities include: having collective and overall responsibility for the unit's operations, finances, and employees leading the operations toward the Health and Care Committee's goals ensuring that the budget is balanced working actively based on the municipality's values, policies, and guidelines developing and strengthening organizational culture and continuing to develop employees and promote a good work climate creating conditions for the operations to comply with laws, regulations, general advice, and guidelines (for example, the Social Services Act, Health and Medical Services Act, and Work Environment Act), as well as other relevant legislation in the field Your responsibility is to lead the unit toward the Health and Care Committee's goals, where the focus is on satisfied service users and high quality in operations. This means creating conditions for participation and self-determination for service users, as well as good conditions for employees to deliver high-quality care. What We Offer You You will collaborate with engaged unit manager colleagues who together lead operations with approximately 300 employees. We value each other's different experiences and support one another in the assignment. Right now, we are in a phase with a focus on internal collaboration and shared development issues. About You You have a degree in social work, nursing, or other education that the employer deems equivalent, corresponding to 180 higher education credits. You have at least 2 years of documented experience in a leading role within care and support, where you have had overall responsibility for personnel, work environment, finances, and operational development. Other Requirements: Experience working in accordance with the Social Services Act, the Health and Medical Services Act, and the Work Environment Act. Experience leading systematic quality work, conducting structured work environment efforts, and following up operations within the public sector. Experience working in digital operational systems, where you have independently documented, followed up, and analyzed results based on goals and governing documents. We consider it meritorious if you have: Experience as a unit manager in home care operations. Experience implementing or using welfare technology in operations. Experience working in a politically governed organization. In your role as unit manager, you are structured and results-oriented in your leadership. This means you plan, organize, and follow up operations based on political goals, assignments, and financial frameworks. You ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation and decisions, and that quality and work environment efforts are conducted systematically. You also work to ensure that development initiatives lead to concrete improvements for both service users and employees. Through clear prioritizations and continuous follow-up, you create stability and predictability in operations. To succeed in this assignment, you need to be collaboration and solution-oriented. You lead through dialogue and cooperation and have a central role in collaboration with employees, other unit managers, operational developers, case workers, family members, and external actors. When operations face changes or challenges, for example related to staffing, user needs, or working methods, you take an active responsibility for analyzing the situation and translating needs into practical and sustainable solutions. Through present and clear leadership, you create participation, engagement, and good conditions for employees to perform their assignment with high quality. Welcome with your application!
