The Social Services Administration in Stockholm City has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and the disability sector. Here we create good conditions to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal and knowledge-based social service with a strong focus on development. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures are offered to the city's residents and the offerings change based on Stockholmers' needs and the district administrations' requests. The work often takes place in close collaboration with other authorities, civil society and the business sector. The Social Services Administration is also responsible for the city's catering and tobacco permits and carries out supervision. Welcome to Us In the reinforcement teams and special assignments unit, we are fifteen social workers, one administrator and one unit manager. We are divided into two reinforcement teams that work with authority functions through dynamic assignments at the city's district administrations, based on the districts' needs, changes in society or changes in laws and guidelines. Ten work with children and young people, four with financial assistance and one works with special assignments such as reception of unaccompanied children and coordinating dynamic work with the so-called Iceland model. Our work with the Iceland model is based on collaboration with the district administrations' social services, based on their needs, and the local police as well as other municipalities. Your Role As a unit manager, you are responsible for personnel, operations and budget. You are part of the area's management group and report directly to the area manager. Your main responsibilities include Leading, following up on employees and developing the unit's mission and way of working (based on the Social Services Act and the city's guidelines for children and young people as well as financial assistance) Inspiring your employees to jointly drive systematic quality work, achieve goals and develop operations Giving lectures and leading workshops, for example on the Iceland model Collaborating within the city and with external partners, such as the Police or other municipalities Driving ongoing development and new development ideas Contributing to the whole in the area's management group together with your manager and colleagues in the management group Your Competence and Experience We are looking for you who have A degree in social work Worked as a manager Current experience working with authority functions within social services, preferably from both children and young people as well as financial assistance Experience initiating new collaborations Worked in the city and have knowledge of our district administrations Good digital skills and are used to working in the Office package, Outlook and the city's program Paraplyet Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing It is meritorious if you have Completed some leadership training Experience as a manager with responsibility for all three areas; personnel, budget and operations To thrive in the role, you need to have good collaboration skills and be responsive to others. You communicate clearly and ensure your message gets through. You look out for the whole unit's best interests in your actions and translate complex information into long-term strategies.
