Duties As a unit manager for family support, you are responsible for leading, developing and following up the service with a focus on quality, work environment and finances. You have an important role in creating conditions for a service that meets the needs of children, young people and families in a professional, legally secure and accessible manner. You lead the development of the service by driving change and development work and implementing new working methods in line with the intentions of the new Social Services Act. Together with your employees, you work to strengthen quality and develop a more accessible and present service in Luleå's different districts. As a manager, you are responsible for creating a good work environment and a sustainable working life through active work with competency supply, introduction and development of employees. An important part of the assignment is also to cooperate with other services within the social administration, other administrations in Luleå municipality and external actors to together prevent unfavorable development among children and young people. The assignment also includes contributing to increasing knowledge about the social service's mission and the advice, support and services offered to children, young people and families. Together with engaged employees and management colleagues, you become part of a team that works to make a real difference for children and young people in Luleå. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work or another academic degree of at least 180 higher education credits in social work that the employer deems equivalent. You express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, have good digital skills and are used to working in service systems and other digital work tools. A B driving license is a requirement. It is meriting if you have experience of managerial or leadership positions within social services or other related activities. We would like to see that you have good knowledge of the social service's mission and experience of leading activities within implementation or other relevant activities. Experience in change management, service development and implementation of new working methods is also meriting. If you have also worked within services aimed at children and young people, we see it as a great asset. As a leader, you are confident, clear and structured. You create direction, work peace and engagement through trust-based leadership where you motivate, support and develop your employees. You have the courage to make decisions, take responsibility for the service's mission and create participation through a present and trustworthy leadership. You are development-oriented and drive change and development work with a strategic and solution-focused approach. You see opportunities for improvement and contribute to increased quality, efficiency and legal security in the service. You have good collaboration skills and build trusting relationships both internally and externally. Through clear and responsive communication, you create understanding, participation and engagement. You cooperate well with other professions, authorities and partners to create the best conditions for children, young people and their families. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
