Your role and your responsibilities:
As Operations Manager District Heating, you are responsible for leading, coordinating and developing operations within the District Heating business area. The unit is responsible for operation, monitoring and optimization of our district heating and electricity production facilities.
You have operational, financial, personnel and work environment responsibility for the operations unit and lead both day-shift and shift-working employees. The role involves creating clear direction, structure and follow-up in a technically complex operation with high demands on safety, availability and environmental performance.
An important part of the assignment is to develop working methods, strengthen systematic work environment efforts and contribute to an efficient, sustainable and future-oriented operations activity. You are part of the District Heating business area management group and work closely with other units within operations, maintenance, facility management, safety and business development.

We are looking for you who is a confident, independent and clear leader with the ability to create structure, engagement and direction. You have both an understanding of operational operations and the ability to take a broader view, see the whole picture and drive the business towards long-term goals.
You are goal and results-oriented and have good ability to prioritize, follow up and translate analyses into concrete actions. You understand the connection between operations, production, economics, work environment, safety, environment and customer benefit.
To succeed in the role, you also need to have good collaboration skills. You build trust through clear communication, participation and follow-up, both within your own unit and in collaboration with other parts of the company.
To be qualified for the position, you need to have:
University or master's degree in a relevant field, such as energy, technology, operations, process or production. Alternatively, you have at least upper secondary vocational education in a relevant field combined with relevant professional experience.
Several years of experience in a supervisory role with personnel responsibility.
Experience from process industry, energy sector or other technically complex operations.
Good understanding of operations, production, safety, work environment and systematic improvement work.
Good IT skills and ability to work in digital systems, including Microsoft 365.
Knowledge of or experience with IT/OT, operations, monitoring or security systems.
Good spoken and written Swedish skills and good understanding of English in speech and writing.
Category B driving license.
It is meritorious if you have experience from the energy sector, especially district heating, energy production or other facility-intensive operations. Experience with digital operations, monitoring or security systems is also meritorious.
Terms and application
The position is a permanent full-time employment, daytime hours. The position does not include on-call duties, but work at inconvenient times may occur as needed based on the business's operational responsibility.
Hässleholm Miljö conducts socially important operations. This means that all employees are assigned to the organization to ensure operations during heightened alert.
The position is security classified and the final candidate will undergo security vetting, background checks and extended checks as part of the recruitment process. Employment contract is conditional on approved security vetting.
