The Employment Administration in Trelleborg is responsible for employment issues, financial assistance, integration of newcomers, municipal adult education, vocational higher education, and skills supply issues. With us, you get the opportunity to make a difference for people and contribute to skills supply and growth. Responsibilities We are seeking a Unit Manager for our employment division! As a Unit Manager, you will have a key role in building and leading the Work-Integrated Services unit. This assignment is central to our initiative to get more Trelleborg residents into employment, including related to the activity requirement in the Social Services Act, which comes into force on July 1, 2026. You are responsible for an operation that supports job seekers through coaching, guidance, and language development. Together with your team members, you work to develop and implement initiatives that strengthen individuals' motivation, competence, and conditions to approach the labor market. An important part of the assignment is ensuring quality in work training and internships within Trelleborg and Svedala municipalities. You lead the work of creating relevant opportunities where participants can build experience and take steps toward self-sufficiency. As a Unit Manager, you drive and develop the operation in close collaboration with other administrations, municipal companies, and external actors such as authorities and care institutions. You have an active role in initiating and developing these collaborations. You have full operational responsibility, which includes personnel, budget, and work environment responsibility, as well as follow-up and development of the operation. You report to the Division Manager and participate in the Employment Administration's management group. In your leadership, you create conditions for good performance, engagement, and well-being. You are clear, present, and work from the conviction that high expectations contribute to development. The assignment involves a strong focus on development, where you work in a structured and experimental way to achieve results and improve operations. Qualifications We are looking for someone with experience working as a manager and with documented ability to lead change with good results. You are experienced in utilizing and developing employees' competence and in creating engagement and participation. You have post-secondary education in social science, behavioral science, or another area the employer deems relevant. Furthermore, you have experience from the employment field, with particular focus on internships and work training, and you have worked leading and developing operations. You have high digital competence and work goal- and results-oriented with good communicative, analytical, and structural ability. You also have a coaching approach and lead through trust-based leadership. Furthermore, you have strong ability to monitor the external environment and build networks in order to drive change that leads to concrete results. In addition to this, we consider it meritorious if you have experience with project management, work in a politically governed organization, and collaboration with authorities and other external actors within the employment field. As a person, you are driven and make things happen. You have great commitment to employment issues and are open, development-oriented, and confident in your role.
