We are seeking an Engineering Manager who wants to take full responsibility for architecture, integrations, and AI-driven automation in a company with a clear purpose and fast pace. About the Role You take a central role in shaping the company's technical direction from the ground up. Our core is built on Podio as a CRM system and an ecosystem of integrations toward invoicing, accounting, payroll, and communication systems — while we drive a growing initiative in AI and automation. You take full ownership of the technical delivery, from architecture to production, and you are the one who holds everything together. In this role, 70-75% of your time will be hands-on where you code, build integrations, review code, and create the architecture behind our solutions. The remaining 30-40% is planning, technical strategy, and leading one developer. You work closely with leadership and will also have dialogue with the group's other IT organization on strategic tech matters. Concretely, this means you: - Own and work operatively across the entire tech delivery: architecture, integrations, automation, and AI from idea to production - Drive and deliver customized AI solutions toward our business systems - Take personnel responsibility for and lead the team consisting of one developer - Develop and maintain a technical development plan in consultation with the leadership team - Take responsibility for security, operations, permissions, and data storage at the system level - Map and document the system landscape — how everything connects, where data flows, and why - Ensure quality through code review, architecture principles, and established practices - Identify where technology creates the greatest business value and solve those problems - Ensure high quality in technical solutions and deliveries Our office is located in central Stockholm and you report directly to the CEO. Your Background We believe you have 3-5 years of experience as a developer, or alternatively a background as a consultant who now wants to go in-house and own something long-term. We want you to be self-driven, to have seen more than one system, and to be able to take technical leadership from day one. We would like to see that you have: - Experience building and maintaining API integrations between different SaaS systems - Experience owning a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar) — not just managing code but taking responsibility for infrastructure, security, and operations - Good understanding of data modeling and databases - Practical experience with modern AI tools in development or a genuine drive to learn for real - Strong system architecture competence — can think in modules, interfaces, and scalability - Experience with business systems (CRM, accounting systems, payroll, telephony) or ability to quickly get up to speed in such environments - Ability to communicate and document in Swedish Merit factors: - Experience with Podio, GlobiFlow/Procfu, or similar low-code platforms as core systems - Previously worked with staffing, HR, accounting, or CRM systems (e.g., Fortnox, Visma, Quinyx, HubSpot) - Experience evaluating and migrating core systems - Hands-on with LLMs like Claude, Claude Code, MCP servers, or equivalent AI development tools - Previous leadership or mentor role or equivalent responsibility for a developer's daily work Who We Are Looking For We are looking for you who genuinely passion for solving everyday problems with technology and seeing the business value of what you build.
