We are seeking an engaged and curious process engineer for a consulting assignment via Lernia in Uppsala. This role is ideal for you if you want to work with process development, improvement initiatives, and technical support in production and development environments, and thrive in an environment where both independent work and cross-functional collaboration are central. About the Role As a process engineer, you will work on the development, optimization, and documentation of production processes. You will participate in projects aimed at improving capacity, quality, and cost-effectiveness, as well as reducing variation and waste. You will collaborate closely with production, quality, maintenance, and product development to ensure robust and scalable process solutions. Your main responsibilities will include: Analysis and improvement of existing processes using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma Development of work instructions, process flows, and control documents Conduction of trial runs, validations, and process changes in pilot and production environments Planning and monitoring of process tests as well as analysis of measurement data to identify improvement opportunities Collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to ensure component selection and manufacturing methods Support in troubleshooting and deviation management, and initiation of corrective actions Participation in project planning, risk assessments, and continuous improvement work About You Formal Qualifications Technical university degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, process engineering, mechatronics, or industrial economics) Several years of experience in process development, production engineering, or similar roles Strong experience working with process steps, measurement methods, and statistical analysis Experience in developing and updating work instructions, process documentation, and validation materials Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken Desirable It is desirable if you have experience with: Work with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar improvement methodologies Project work in production-related development projects or industrial environments Work with automation, control systems, or embedded systems Experience with quality standards and regulations within the relevant industry PAS-X As a person, you are structured, analytical, and solution-oriented. You work proactively, thrive in teams, and can clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You have a practical approach and the drive to take improvement projects from idea to implementation.
