About the job as personal assistant As a personal assistant, you work closely with a person with a disability in their daily life. Your workplace is where the client is located, and your main responsibilities involve assisting the client so they have the opportunity to live the life they wish. Duties Your responsibilities depend on the client's needs and lifestyle. They can range from personal hygiene, assistance with mobility, housework, cooking, to assisting the client at work or during activities outside the home. About the client The client is a cheerful and positive 51-year-old man who lives with his wife and their cats. The client uses a wheelchair and requires personal assistance around the clock. There is now a need to strengthen the assistant team with 2–3 assistants who can work as temporary hourly workers as needed. The work requires that you can sometimes step in on short notice and that you are flexible, attentive, and positive. Gender does not matter, but we would prefer that you are between 30–45 years old. We are looking for someone who is empathetic, understanding, and has a genuine interest in working with people. It is important that you see this as a long-term position. The workplace may vary as you, as an assistant, follow the client in their daily life. The client has a speech disability, which makes it important that you have a good command of the Swedish language so communication works as well as possible. Experience working as a personal assistant is a merit, as is knowledge of asthma. The client has an interest in music and sports. What we are looking for We are looking for someone who is responsible, attentive, and quick to learn new tasks. About the position The employment is for a fixed term as long as the assistance assignment lasts, and compensation is hourly pay. Working hours vary based on the client's needs: day, evening, night (active and on-call), weekdays and weekends.
