About the job The Legal Unit currently has 29 employees in Stockholm and Halmstad and together with the Review Unit forms the Legal Department. The Legal Department is responsible for Pensionsmyndigheten's regulatory framework, oversees consistency and clarity in the authority's application of rules, and ensures that the organization's activities are conducted within applicable regulations. In a broad attorney position, you work with us on many different matters both independently and together with your colleagues in teams. You also collaborate with other functions within the authority, and sometimes with external parties. You guide and support the organization on legal interpretation and application matters. You respond to consultations and participate in the authority's work with regulatory development, simplifications, process development, and digitalization. The work can be adapted based on your expertise and can vary over time and includes, among other things: Social insurance law and administrative law: You work with the national and international rules that govern how the authority handles benefit matters and administrative law issues. You litigate in general administrative court and follow up on regulatory compliance in case handling. Procurement and contracts: You work with procurement matters in close cooperation with the authority's purchasing function. Work against incorrect payments and benefit fraud: You work with others to ensure Pensionsmyndigheten's important work in preventing incorrect payments and benefit fraud, and ensuring we get it right from the start. You provide support in both operational and long-term efforts. Total defense law, civil preparedness, and security protection. Law related to IT development, particularly AI: You work on guidance and support to the organization so that we can together develop better services for pensioners and pension savers that are also simple to administer at the authority. You support by developing clear approaches to, for example, cloud services and AI use. Your profile To thrive in this role, you take significant personal responsibility, enjoy teamwork, and have a holistic perspective. You have solid grounding in law and if something is not legally possible today, you come with solution proposals. You have analytical abilities and can quickly identify legal issues, often in complex and extensive materials, and adapt your effort and level of quality based on the nature of the matter. In collaboration with both attorneys and other professionals, you have the ability to explain and anchor legal aspects in an easily understandable way. You are comfortable working in a changing environment and see new conditions as opportunities rather than obstacles. We are looking for someone who has: Law degree (jur. kand.) or equivalent law qualification with very strong legal knowledge Several years of current work experience with legal work in public sector operations.
