Do you want to work with Embedded Software Development in varied and technically challenging projects where you can use your full technical breadth? Together with Oddwork, Bit Addict is now seeking an Embedded Software Engineer driven by problem-solving, new technology, and diving into different technical environments.
About the role
As an Embedded Software Engineer at Bit Addict, you'll become part of an experienced engineering team where technology, problem-solving, and curiosity are central. You work on varied customer projects and development initiatives where you get the opportunity to use your technical breadth and quickly familiarize yourself with new systems, products, and domains.
Your assignments will primarily involve embedded and systems-level development, where you work closely with both software and hardware. You will, among other things, develop in C and C++, work in Linux/Embedded Linux environments, and come into contact with real-time systems and various communication protocols.
This role is perfect for you if you don't want to work within just one technical area. At Bit Addict, the ability to understand the bigger picture, tackle new problems, and find solutions through code is highly valued. You'll also have an important role in dialogue with the customer, where you need to be able to explain both technical solutions and your own reasoning in a clear manner.
We're looking for you who
Have a broad technical foundation and several years of experience with embedded and systems-level development. You're comfortable diving into complex technical environments and feel confident independently tackling new problems.
We see that you have:
Civil or technical degree with at least 8 years of relevant work experience
Very strong knowledge of C and C++
Solid experience with Linux and Embedded Linux
Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, UART, and SPI
Good understanding of hardware-level programming and real-time systems
Very strong knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
For this role, we place great emphasis on your technical breadth. You don't need to know everything, but we're looking for someone who is curious about new technologies and hasn't become stuck in a single narrow area. It's natural for you to solve technical problems with code, and you have an easy time adapting to new technical environments and quickly understanding new domains.
Since you work closely with Bit Addict's customers, it's also important that you're communicative and comfortable conveying your experience, discussing technology, and explaining complex solutions in an understandable way.
