Our client is a large technology company that develops and manufactures technically advanced products and systems. You'll become part of a technical organization where different areas of expertise work together throughout the entire development process. As an electrical systems design engineer, you'll work on designing and developing complete electrical systems and be involved in the entire process – from the concept stage and system design through design, verification, and finished product. The work encompasses both high-level system design and more detailed design work. Depending on your previous experience, the role will be adapted. As a more senior engineer, you'll have greater system responsibility, while if you're earlier in your career, you can initially focus more on cable design, CAD, and detailed design. You will, among other things: Design and develop complete electrical systems for technically advanced products Create overview diagrams and circuit schematics Design and document cabling in CAD Size and verify electrical systems and electrical solutions Participate in design reviews and technical tests Troubleshoot and solve technical problems Evaluate components and electrical solutions Participate in development from early concept stage through finished product and further through the product's lifecycle Work closely with colleagues in areas such as electronics, mechanical engineering, procurement, quality, and production The role involves many contact points, and you'll work closely with both other designers and the parts of the organization that will ultimately produce and work with the solutions you design. We're Looking For You If You Have a technical background in electrical engineering, electronics, automation, or a related field. We're open to different paths into the role. For example, you could be a trained engineer or have a more practical electrical background that you've complemented with experience or training in design. To succeed in the role, we see that you have: Education or work experience in electrical engineering, electronics, automation, or related fields Experience with or training in design Good understanding of electrical systems Ability to read and understand technical drawings and electrical schematics Strong skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written Valid driver's license (Category B) It's an advantage if you have: Experience with CAD, preferably in 2D design Worked on designing cabling or complete electrical systems Experience from manufacturing industry or product development Worked closely with production and understand how a design is implemented as a physical product Experience with automation, industrial electrical systems, or advanced electrical troubleshooting We believe you're a curious and solution-oriented person with a strong interest in technology. You enjoy understanding how things work and are comfortable balancing independent work with close collaboration with others.
