Job Description Would you like to design the marine electromechanical systems of the future? Few engineers get the opportunity to work with products where the demands for innovation, precision, and reliability are as high as in marine defense technology. We are now seeking an electromechanical design engineer for a long-term assignment in Lund where you will become part of developing some of Sweden's most advanced marine systems. Here you work closely with specialists in electrical design, mechanical design, systems development, and production to create solutions that must function in some of the world's most demanding environments. About the Role As an electromechanical design engineer, you will work with mechanical design, development, and documentation of electrical cabinets, junction boxes, and other electromechanical installations for advanced marine platforms. The work includes, among other things: Creating 3D models, drawings, and design documentation in PTC Creo Parametric. Developing electromechanical solutions from concept to finished product. Designing electrical cabinets, junction boxes, cable trays, fasteners, and related mechanical components. Ensuring that designs meet technical requirements regarding function, quality, manufacturability, and installation. Creating and maintaining bill of materials and technical documentation in Windchill. Participating in concept studies and optimizing solutions regarding size, function, serviceability, and installation. Collaborating with suppliers to ensure that designs can be manufactured according to requirements and specifications. Participating in technical reviews and verification of design documentation. Working closely with systems engineers, electrical designers, production, and other engineering disciplines throughout the development process. You will work on projects where technical challenges, problem-solving, and innovation are at the center. Core Competencies We believe that you Hold a degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent technical education from a university or technical institute. Have experience in design and product development within industrial operations. Have worked with CAD tools, preferably PTC Creo Parametric. Have experience with technical documentation, drawing creation, and bill of materials. Have an understanding of electrical installations, electrical cabinets, or electromechanical systems. Enjoy combining mechanical design with an understanding of electrical systems. Like solving technical problems together with others. Are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Experience in defense industry, marine operations, electrical design, or other technically advanced development work is desirable but not required. Desirable Experiences PTC Creo Parametric and Creo View. Windchill. EPLAN. Aveva Tags. Experience configuring and designing electrical cabinets and junction boxes. Experience with technical reviews and quality work. Experience collaborating with external suppliers.
