Join us in accelerating the transition to a sustainable society. Job Description AFRY Hydro Nordics is one of the world's largest consulting firms specializing in hydropower. We provide services from early stages, concept and feasibility studies, to implementation and commissioning, as well as operation and maintenance. This includes expertise across all technical areas such as civil engineering, hydraulics, turbine and generator technology, hydromechanical equipment, and electrical and control systems. In the Hydro Power Automation team, we currently have 9 electrical engineers in Enköping working with magnetization equipment and electrical and control systems. We are now seeking our next colleague who wants to be part of our engaged team and contribute to hydropower development through sustainable electrical design solutions. In this role, you will manage delivery projects for electrical and control equipment to hydropower stations. Our projects vary in size, and since we work with customer-tailored and site-specific solutions, it provides both variety and professional growth. This role focuses on electrical design, testing, and commissioning where you will help shape technical solutions from early stages to completed installation. You will collaborate with project managers and external parties, review technical documentation and design specifications, and ensure technical quality and electrical safety. Much of the work is performed at our office, but opportunities for remote work exist to the extent it suits the tasks. Site visits and weekly travel within Sweden and occasionally to other Nordic countries are part of the role. Qualifications To succeed and thrive in this role, we seek someone who enjoys problem-solving in a technically-oriented position. You are eager to learn and develop, and you actively seek opportunities to do so. You are thorough with an eye for detail and have a solution-oriented approach. You collaborate well in teams, communicate clearly, and value building good and long-term relationships with both colleagues and customers. We also see that you have a civil or technical engineering degree with an electrical focus, or alternatively several years of experience in electrical design within industry. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, as well as a valid driver's license (category B). We consider it a merit if you have: Experience in hydropower Experience with PLC programming and/or Elprocad/Elmaster Experience with simulation tools such as PSS/E, DIGSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, or similar Knowledge of or experience with control theory Additional Information With us, you will contribute to a sustainable future in some of the industry's most exciting projects.
