We are now seeking several experienced Electrical Engineers who want to help build the maintenance operations of the future! We are facing one of Vattenfall Eldistribution's largest investments ever – a historic mobilization to build stronger, more resilient, and entirely in-house capabilities for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. In a time when the outside world demands ever-greater robustness and resilience, we are taking decisive steps to secure an electricity grid that can handle difficult conditions and deliver when needed most. About the Role As an Electrical Power Design Engineer with a focus on substations and control equipment, you are a key person in our reinvestment projects within the electricity grid 0.4–400 kV. You drive the design from requirements and technical decisions through to detailed design, procurement documents, and completed documentation. The work is primarily carried out together with our own maintenance organization, which means you have close dialogue with those who will build, test, and operate the facility. In the role, you also ensure that working environment and safety are considered in all stages from design choices and work planning to implementation and handover. Your main tasks and areas of responsibility: Develop and quality-assure design documentation (single-line diagrams, circuit diagrams, connection tables, assembly guides, and layouts/cabinet layouts) Prepare technical descriptions and documentation and provide technical support during implementation Ensure that the design meets requirements, standards, and internal guidelines and contribute to technical decisions and solution discussions Drive the documentation all the way through to handover, including updates and as-built documentation after construction/commissioning Coordinate and set requirements for contractors/suppliers in the parts of projects where external resources are used When needed, work with protective relays/IED and communication in substation environments, such as IEC 61850 as well as support related to station networks Requirements We are looking for someone who is analytical and enjoys working with complex technical issues. You have good collaboration skills, enjoy sharing your expertise, and contribute to the team as a whole. At the same time, you are responsible, drive your work tasks to completion, and are confident in asking for support when needed. We would like to see that you have: Post-secondary education in electrical power/electrotechnology (university/graduate engineer) or equivalent experience-based competence Experience in electrical power design in a project environment Experience preparing design documentation: single-line diagrams, circuit diagrams, connection tables, assembly guides, and layouts/cabinet layouts Good CAD skills Structured and quality-conscious, takes responsibility for technical deliverables and enjoys collaboration with many stakeholders Very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Class B driver's license Meritorious: Experience with distribution projects/substation and control systems Protective relays/IED and IEC 61850 (configuration/testing, e.g., SCD/GOOSE/MMS where relevant) Experience with testing/commissioning/troubleshooting of control systems Experience with procurement documentation and technical support during procurement Experience preparing as-built documentation and completing documentation after construction Additional Information We offer an exciting work day and good work-life balance at an attractive workplace with excellent opportunities for development.
