Do you want to work as an Electrical Engineer and contribute to an activity that is vital to society? Your Tasks As an Electrical Engineer at Regionfastigheter in Region Västmanland, you work with designing, developing, and optimizing technical systems within electrical, lighting, power, backup power, fire and safety installations in our properties – for example hospitals, health centers, and other healthcare operations. You are an important part of creating safe, functional, and energy-efficient environments that support healthcare needs. You participate in both new construction and renovation projects where you contribute with technical expertise in electrical engineering. This means you lead external project managers, follow up on contracts, and ensure that installations meet legal requirements, electrical safety requirements, and the region's standards. Together with consultants, you work to evaluate and improve existing electrical systems to achieve sustainable and efficient operations. In your role, you collaborate with other project managers, property managers, operations technicians, and external consultants and contractors. You participate in procurements and serve as technical support to other functions within the region's property organization. You are also responsible for keeping relationship documents and other documentation updated, as well as contributing to planned maintenance and reinvestment plans. Financial responsibility including forecasts and follow-up is also part of the assignment. About the Workplace Regionfastigheter within Region Västmanland is a separate operation whose main task is to provide maximum benefit to the Region's operations in terms of premises supply based on sustainable societal development. Region Västmanland owns a real estate portfolio of approximately 450,000 square meters (BTA), which is managed, developed, and operated by Regionfastigheter. The portfolio consists mainly of healthcare facilities and includes four hospitals (Västerås, Köping, Sala, and Fagersta), health centers, psychiatric clinics, a folk high school, and administrative premises. Regionfastigheter consists of a management unit, a projects and operations unit, with approximately 90 people working here in total. We develop premises and properties for new and existing customers through both renovation and new construction. You need to have experience working as an Electrical Engineer and we consider it meritorious if you also have experience working as a project manager, assignment manager, or inspector within electrical work. In the role, you need to be able to communicate verbally and in writing with consultants, contractors, and colleagues, therefore good knowledge of the Swedish language is required. A B-category driver's license is a requirement as travel within the region occurs. We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented and has the ability to take responsibility for your assignments from start to finish. You have a good overall perspective and consider technical, economic, and operational perspectives in your decisions.
