This role involves working as a student assistant/support staff with younger students, grades F-3 (preschool-grade 3), within our adapted primary school framework. In this work, you will focus on students' needs and provide support at both group and individual levels, working closely with teachers and other professionals with students' learning and development as the focus.
Job Responsibilities
The work consists of supporting individual students according to their circumstances and needs throughout the school day, working together with other educators on the team. You will collaborate closely with relevant teams around the students to design support measures based on each student's individual needs. Work tasks can be performed both individually and in classroom settings. You will support students' learning as well as social interaction during breaks and between lessons.
You may also work to some extent in our excellent after-school program that is connected to Svenstavik School.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has foundational education in pedagogy or social work, equivalent education, or work experience that the employer deems equivalent and relevant for the position. Previous experience working as a student assistant or support staff in adapted primary school or in the lower grades of primary school, or other pedagogical work is a merit. Knowledge of, or experience with, sign language as support is a merit. You need to have strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
Since Berg Municipality is a Sámi administrative municipality, knowledge of Sámi language and culture is a merit.

The starting salary range for the position is between 25,000-28,000 for someone with relevant education and experience. Berg Municipality applies HÖK/AB (general provisions) for this position.
