Önnerödsskolan is located in the Landvetter community and is a grades 4–9 school with approximately 460 students. The school has good bus connections to several larger towns in the region. Your Assignment You provide support and guidance to students in grades 7–9 and actively work to promote school attendance, safety, and a conducive learning environment. You support students in attending classes, following school routines, and completing their school day. You are a visible, accessible, and trusted adult in the school's common areas and build trusting relationships with students. You work preventatively and long-term, and handle conflicts and other situations in a calm, respectful, and well-considered manner. You plan, carry out, and follow up on measures for individual students and student groups in close collaboration with mentors, teaching staff, student welfare services, and school leadership, within the framework of the school's safety and equal treatment work. You cooperate with guardians and, if needed, with external actors and authorities. You document events, contacts, and measures in the school's digital system according to current procedures. You are prepared to serve as a substitute when situations require it. You are part of the school's social team. You collaborate with your colleague who is the student coordinator for grades 4-6. Requirements for the Position You have post-secondary education in areas such as socio-pedagogy, behavioral science, or pedagogy, or alternatively other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working with young people, preferably in schools, social work, or other activities where young people have received support and guidance. You have the ability to create professional relationships with young people while being clear, secure, and consistent. You express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing and can adapt your communication to the situation and audience. You have good digital competence and can document factually and correctly. You understand confidentiality, integrity, and the responsibility that comes with working closely with students and guardians. It is advantageous if you have: Relevant work experience that benefits the role of student coordinator. Experience working in the upper grades of primary school. Experience with attendance-promoting work and support for students with problematic school absences. To obtain employment, an extract from the Police Criminal Record must be provided.
