Description
Askebyskolan is beautifully located about 5 minutes from Rinkeby C. The school has approximately 350 students and 80 staff members. The school consists of primary school grades F-6, special education grades 1-6, and a regional SU group.
Responsibilities
In your role as a teaching assistant/resource staff, you will work in the AGR/SU group to provide students with the learning and care they need to develop according to their own abilities. You will help create a daily environment that is developing, meaningful, and positive for students where they reach their full potential.
Your tasks include supporting students in their daily school life and helping teachers conduct instruction. You will encounter many different tasks, and no two days will be the same.
Qualifications
A requirement is that you have documented experience working in a special education group and/or adapted primary school. You must have good knowledge of the needs and challenges that students in these groups face.
We're looking for someone who can create situations where students succeed and whose view of children is characterized by respect and belief that all students can and want to develop. You should be able to build relationships and in your daily work awaken students' interest and encourage them to learn. In your work, you use a low-affect approach, are professional, and can adapt your communication based on the situation. You are empathetic, mature, have good judgment, and can set boundaries. In your role, you are confident and understand the importance of being a positive adult role model.
