Spånga gymnasium is a small, pleasant upper secondary school with just over 400 students. Here you will find committed staff and low employee turnover. The school is located idyllically in the Solhem residential area and you can easily get to school by commuter train or bus. We offer a wide range of educational programs, such as the Natural Resources Program, Natural Sciences Program and Social Sciences Program. We also have introductory programs: IMS (Language Introduction), IMY-NB (vocational introduction NB) as well as adapted upper secondary school with the national programs SMD (Program for Forestry, Land and Animals) and FB (Program for Property and Construction). Your role As a student assistant, you work with helping students who for various reasons need support to be able to follow the teaching and other activities at the school. The work aims to enable students, as far as possible and based on their own circumstances, to develop in accordance with the goals of the education. The students you meet attend the adapted upper secondary school and the vocational introduction program NB with a special education focus. Together with teachers and other staff at the school, you work to create a developing, meaningful and positive environment for them. The work tasks are varied, diverse and sometimes challenging. This may involve helping the student find focus in their studies or assisting in finding individual solutions so the student can benefit from their learning. It may also involve supporting the student in social situations during school time, supporting the student in various practical activities in both lessons and breaks. Lessons are conducted both indoors in classrooms and outdoors on the construction site in Kista and at the animal facility at the main school in Spånga. You should be experienced in handling tools, equipment and hand machines. You should also be comfortable assisting with the care of plants and animals. You work closely with other student assistants and teaching staff where you both receive instructions and collaborate on how the work should be performed. The work is carried out both independently and together with others on staff. Your competence and experience • Student assistant education, childcare education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Preferably with additional training for children with special needs. • Documented experience working as a student assistant in school or from similar assignments that the employer considers equivalent. • Experience working in adapted school, preferably upper secondary • Experience working with students with NPF • Good ability to express yourself and make yourself understood in Swedish, both spoken and written.
