JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Student Assistants in Kiruna Municipality work to help, support and stimulate students in need of special support for learning, development and independence. As a Student Assistant, you are employed centrally in the student assistant group but work at our schools. The work is carried out on behalf of the principal together with the responsible teacher based on the current curriculum and aims to create conditions that enable students to learn, acquire new knowledge and develop into independent individuals. The student assistant supports students throughout the school day both in the classroom and during breaks and in after-school programs, in meal and hygiene situations and in other activities depending on the student's needs. We believe and want you to work to give the student the opportunity to become as independent as possible based on their circumstances. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has a high school diploma from a child and recreation program or other education that the employer deems appropriate. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working in school activities. It is important to us that you have a genuine interest in children's development and their desire to learn. We are looking for someone who has the ability to enthuse and motivate but is also attentive to the student's needs. You have empathetic ability, are calm and patient. Collaborating with guardians and other staff is no problem for you as we believe you have a solution-focused approach and are driven by a positive mindset. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You are happy to contribute new ideas and suggestions to move the work forward.
