We are currently a staff of approximately 130 people with a shared goal of being the best school for our students. School leadership consists of a principal, an administrative director, and currently four assistant principals each responsible for their respective grade level. We are a strong team with good atmosphere and collaboration is the key word. We have positive development at the school. Kämpetorpsskolan is located in the heart of Älvsjö and has approximately 950 students in grades F-9. The upper secondary section is in relatively newly built facilities following the school's renovation and expansion. Your role As a student assistant, you work to help students who for various reasons need support to follow along in teaching and in the school's other activities. The work aims to enable students to develop, as much as possible and within their own capabilities, in accordance with the goals of education. Together with teachers and other staff at the school, you work to create a developing, meaningful and positive environment for the students. The tasks are varied, diverse and sometimes challenging. You have close collaboration with the teaching staff where you both receive instructions and cooperate on how the work should be performed. The work is done both independently and together with other staff members. More specific information about the assignment will be provided at the interview. Your competence and experience We are looking for you who have: Student assistant training, childcare worker training or other training that the employer considers equivalent, or 3-year upper secondary education in children and youth, preferably with supplementary education for children with special needs of 1.5 years. Documented (preferably indicate number of years, e.g. 1-year) experience of working as a student assistant within school or from similar assignments that the employer considers equivalent. Good ability to express yourself in and make yourself understood in Swedish in speech and writing. We are looking for you who can and want to build relationships with students, believe that every student can reach their full potential and want to work to promote their independence. You are professional, have good judgment and can set boundaries. The work requires that you have patience and can adapt your communication and approach based on the situation. You are secure, trustworthy and understand the importance of being an adult role model. You can work independently and take initiative. In your interaction with students and guardians, you are clear and responsive to the students' needs. You have good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing.
