About the workplace
Gransäterskolan is an F–9 school with approximately 500 students and two parallel classes in each grade. Safety, relationships, and learning are at the center of what we do, and we work toward an accessible learning environment where students can develop both academically and socially.
The school is located near the city center with good public transportation connections and proximity to nature.
We are now seeking a student assistant for a fixed-term position through December 14 at our upper elementary unit. Here we work in a small team where collaboration, openness, and collegial learning are important parts of daily life.
Your responsibilities
As a student assistant, you will work with one upper elementary student during the school day. The role is primarily about providing structure, clarity, and a secure adult presence. You work proactively, helping the student navigate different situations and supporting the development of effective strategies and positive social interaction.
You need to be present and attentive, able to read situations before they become difficult, and set clear boundaries when needed, while maintaining a calm and respectful demeanor.
The work takes place in close coordination with the teaching staff. You need to be able to consistently follow shared routines and agreements.
Qualifications
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who is secure and stable in your adult role and can build a good relationship while maintaining clear boundaries and expectations. You are responsive, responsible, and have good judgment even in challenging situations.
Experience working with children and students, and experience supporting students with special needs, is valued.
