We are a preschool-through-9th grade school in Sollentuna with approximately 480 students and 56 employees. Responsibilities As a student assistant, you will work closely with a first-grade student with extensive support needs and multiple disabilities. Your primary task is to create a sense of security and provide the support that enables the student to participate in teaching, school activities, and the after-school program. You will serve as the student's practical and communicative support throughout the school day. Responsibilities include supporting the student during instruction, with the use of educational materials and assistive devices, and promoting the student's communication, social interaction, and independence. You will also assist with mobility, meals, breaks, dressing and undressing, and personal care. In this role, you will collaborate closely with teachers, after-school staff, and student support services to create the best conditions for the student's development and well-being. During the student's absence, other supportive tasks within the school or after-school program may occur. This is a meaningful role for someone who wants to make a real difference in a student's daily life and contribute to an inclusive and safe school environment. Qualifications We are looking for you with experience working with children or young people with disabilities and extensive support needs, and experience from school and/or after-school settings. As a person, you are attentive, calm, responsible, and work well in collaboration. You should be able to provide close support and care while encouraging the student's participation and independence. Requirements Experience working with children or young people with disabilities and extensive support needs. Experience working in school and/or after-school settings. Ability to assist with mobility, meals, restroom visits, and personal hygiene. Meritorious Experience from adapted schools, LSS services, or work as a personal assistant.
