Your Tasks This position involves helping to launch a completely new adapted primary school at Lina Primary School. As an assistant, you will be an important part in building the operations and contribute to creating a safe, clear, and developmental learning environment for students. We are looking for an engaged and confident assistant for the adapted primary school. The work involves providing support to student(s) in both learning situations and care activities, in close collaboration with colleagues. You will work together with teaching teachers and other assistants to create a safe and structured school day based on students' individual needs. Since the operations are being launched, you will have the opportunity to help shape working methods and routines in the new operations. You are part of a work team within the adapted primary school and have close collaboration with the class's other assistants, teaching teachers, and the school's other professionals. Work Tasks Support student in teaching situations based on individual needs Perform care activities, such as personal hygiene and transfers Manage and support medical needs according to instructions Participate in activities such as swimming and sports Cooperate with teachers, other assistants, and student health services Contribute to a safe and structured school environment Who Are You? Requirements: - Experience in care work - Ability to handle medical needs (e.g., feeding tube, medication, or similar) - Swimming proficiency and confidence in water - Experience working with children/students in need of special support - Good teamwork skills and experience working in teams - Good communication skills Personal Qualities: - Calm, stable, and flexible - Responsive to students' individual needs - Responsible and takes initiative - Ability to create safety and build trusting relationships Meritorious: - Education in care, children and leisure, or similar - Experience with adapted primary school or similar operations - Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities What We Offer You As an employee of Södertälje Municipality, you are offered secure employment, good employment terms and working environment, skills development, and several benefits.
