Welcome to Åkeredsskolan! We are now seeking a student assistant for a limited-term position extending through the end of spring term 2027.
In August 2025, we moved into our brand new school building. It is a bright and beautiful school with well-designed facilities. The school is located in a seaside environment with excellent opportunities for rich nature experiences. We have approximately 410 students from preschool through grade 6. Around 60 competent, friendly, and engaged staff members work here.
Job Responsibilities
Your work will involve supporting and accompanying a student with autism in preschool during mornings, while also functioning as a resource in the classroom and contributing to activities based on the group's needs. During afternoons, you will work at the after-school program with students in grades 1-3, where you participate in planning, implementation, and development of activities.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with upper secondary education, for example from a child and leisure program, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working with children or students in school, after-school programs, or other educational settings. We also value experience working with children or students with neuropsychiatric conditions (NPF), such as autism.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, attentive, and skilled at building good relationships. You need to be able to adapt to the student's needs, collaborate well within the team, and contribute to a safe and structured learning environment.
As a person, you have the ability to work together with others to accomplish tasks and reach goals. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You are guided by the equal value of all and create a good atmosphere in your interactions. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and new information. Furthermore, you remain calm and composed in pressured and difficult situations.
