Job Responsibilities
As a student assistant, you help, support, and encourage students with special education needs in their schoolwork, individually and in group settings, to create the best possible conditions for learning. You work closely with the student, both during lessons and during breaks, and help with transitions between different classes.
You will also support a student in managing diabetes self-care (e.g., blood sugar monitoring, carbohydrate counting, insulin administration according to instructions). Observe and respond to high or low blood sugar levels according to established guidelines. The work involves creating security and structure around the student's day, as well as participating in planning for activities that require special consideration. You will work closely with staff, guardians, and the diabetes clinic. If you do not have diabetes training, you will be offered a digital training course on type 1 diabetes.
In addition, you will participate in the daily operations of the school.
Desired Start Date: As soon as possible.
Duration: 1 year with possible extension.
