Fredriksborgskolan will serve as the gateway to the new district Gässlösa, which is currently being built in southern Borås. The school will eventually receive around 850 students from preschool class through grade 9. The school has a primary school F-9, an adapted primary school 1-9, as well as municipality-wide teaching groups, making us a large, integrated school that benefits from each other's differences and adapts our teaching to students' varying needs. It is important to us that children and young people feel safe and seen. Fredriksborgskolan is a school where the premises are designed to be the small school within the large. The school has two principals, two assistant principals, and two school administrators. Job Responsibilities As a student assistant at Fredriksborgskolan F-6, you support students in learning situations and in social interaction, while promoting student well-being in the school environment. You provide support both to individual students and to student groups in various contexts. As a student assistant, you work closely with students and strengthen group dynamics. You will have close collaboration with colleagues, guardians, and students. Parts of your day will be spent working at the school's after-school program. Our after-school activities are largely characterized by outdoor pedagogy. We have access to an outdoor classroom in the nearby school forest where parts of the activities take place. Qualifications You are trained as a student assistant through, for example, child and leisure education, student assistant training, or a support pedagogue or social pedagogue degree from a folk high school or vocational college. Work as a student assistant is varied and practical. You provide support throughout the school day, which also includes assistance with personal care such as bathroom visits and changing clothes, which is why we are primarily looking for a male student assistant. Your approach is encouraging, where you see all students' strengths and possibilities. To succeed in the role of student assistant, you need to be independent and responsible. You need to find it easy to collaborate and have the ability to create good and trusting relationships with students, educators, and guardians. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and can take your own initiative. We see that as a student assistant you meet our students with an attentive, calm, patient, and low-key approach.
