Hällsboskolan Kungsholmen in Stockholm serves students with severe language disorders from preschool through grade 10. Our instruction focuses on language and communication. The goal is for students to have the conditions to achieve learning objectives, be included and active in various social contexts, and develop as individuals. We offer accommodation for students who cannot commute to school daily.

DUTIES
As a teaching assistant at Hällsboskolan, you contribute to creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment—an environment that makes a difference.
The work takes place during the entire school day as well as after-school and holiday activities in the morning/afternoon.
You are part of a team that together creates optimal and individual conditions based on students' needs and circumstances.
Team collaboration is central, even though your main task involves supporting one or more students in their personal development, which may concern everyday situations as well as routines, social interaction, and learning.
This occurs in close collaboration with the team, mentors, and families, as this is a key factor in best helping the student(s) move forward in their overall development.
In your role as a teaching assistant at Hällsboskolan, you create a safe social climate and trusting relationships by demonstrating conviction that the student(s) want to learn and develop.
You combine care and security for the student(s)' situation with learning and development and seek in your role to contribute with increased understanding of the student(s)' situation for yourself and for the student(s)' sake, but also for other students, colleagues, and guardians.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
• Has completed upper secondary education or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
• Has experience working in school and after-school settings.
• Has experience working with students with language disorders and/or neuropsychiatric diagnoses.
It is a merit if you:
• Have experience working in special education.
• Have experience with TAKK.
We place great importance on qualities such as personal maturity, integrity, and the ability to contribute to developing an evolving operation.
Your ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish is an important part of student instruction.
Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months, start: 2026-09-07 or by agreement. The position is a temporary replacement, ending: 2027-02-10.
A probationary period of 6 months applies.
