Hedängskolan grades 6-9 is a school with approximately 260 students and approximately 35 employees. The school is located in Storvik with good transportation options by bus/train. In the school's immediate vicinity there is nature, ski trails, ice rink, swimming, sports field, and a newly built sports hall that are used in the operations. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a student assistant, you work closely with an individual student who needs special support during the school day. You are an important support in the student's daily life and work actively to promote both learning and social development. The goal is to create a safe and developing school environment. Work is conducted in close collaboration with teachers, other staff, and guardians. You contribute by: • Supporting the student in teaching • Working with clarifying pedagogy at group and individual levels • Using visual supports and digital tools to explain and communicate We make each other better by: • Sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues • Creating a safe and accessible learning environment • Being responsive to each student's needs • Working solution-focused and with great commitment QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is confident, responsive, and has an easy way of building trust. You meet each student with respect and adapt your support according to needs and mood. You see what needs to be done and take initiative to create a functioning daily life. Through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians, you contribute to a safe and developing learning environment. The position requires: • Upper secondary school diploma • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Experience with and/or pedagogical training for working with students in need of special support is a merit. It is also an advantage to have IT competence and experience using digital tools in pedagogical work.
